◆ Dialing 119 from a Mobile Phone
1 . Calling from a moving vehicle is extremely dangerous and the phone
may cut off during conversation. ALWAYS stop the vehicle before using the
phone. Also, you may need to be called back, so please wait in a place
where you can be reached safely for 10 minutes.
2 . Depending on where you are, mobile phones might connect you to a different
emergency office, so please follow the instructions you are given.
Only dial 119 in an emergency.
◆ Request from Emergency Services
Depending on the situation, you may be asked to perform first aid once
the emergency vehicles have been dispatched, so please follow the instructions
given.
Dispatched Emergency Vehicles cannot move without the sirens ringing,
and we request your cooperation in this matter.
The person who answers your phone will not go to the emergency; they will
however keep in touch with you and pass on information to the staff travelling
in the emergency vehicle. So please answer all questions as fully as you
can.
