Affix fire alarm in bedroom.
There are two types of fire alarm –use the type that detects smoke in
the bedroom.
If there are many bedrooms, always affix a smoke alarm in each room.
In houses with more than two floors, where there are bedrooms above the
first floor, always affix a fire alarm on the stairs as well.
● Check once a month!
Some fire alarms are guaranteed for a year, and batteries can last 5 or
ten years. However, fire alarms save lives, so please disregard this and
remember to check your fire alarm once a month and clean it frequently
to get rid of dust.

◆ On Wall: between 15 to 50cms from the ceiling
Note: These measurements are from the center of the fire alarm!!!
Even if a room is filled with smoke, some alarms have difficulties detecting
smoke if they are in a corner etc, so place these types far from corners
or beams. Also, do not place fire alarms near air-conditioning or ventilation
fan, as they have effects on the alarm sensor.
