● Elementary・Junior High School

　This is a system where those families who have financial problems sending their children to senior high school, college, vocational school, special needs education, university, junior college etc. It is an interest-free loan.

　There are 5 Elementary Schools and 2 Junior High Schools in Komono Town.

◎ Elementary Schools ： Komono, Chikusa, Asakami, Ugawara and Takenaga.
　You will need your Alien Registration Card and a Guardian or the child (6-12 years old)
◎ Junior High School：Komono and Happu.
　You will need your Alien Registration Card and a Guardian or the child (12-15 years old)

● Support System for Entering School

　We provide help to cover the cost of school lunches and school supplies for those families who are in financial difficulty. This is so that the children can continue their education. Please enquire about this service at the school or at the Education Division.

● Procedures for Entering School

　For children without Japanese citizenship, school is not obligatory, however education is highly recommended for your children’s future.
　When applying, the child will need to fill out necessary forms.
　To apply, please visit the Education Division at any time.
　The school year begins on 1st April and finishes the following year on the 31st March. Books are provided for free.
