For registration of a birth, please come to the Town Hall within 14 days
(includes day of birth).
For registration, bring the Birth Registration Document (proof from the
doctor) and the Maternal and Child Health Handbook.
At this time, applying for payments for medical care for the infant, National
Health Insurance, the lump sum payment for giving birth (if parents are
enrolled in the National Health Insurance System), as well as child-care
allowance etc can be undertaken.
For these processes you will need to bring your seal, health insurance
documents and bank book (other than Yuchou Bank).
For child-care allowance, you will need tax declaration documents. Some
applications may require other documents, please enquire at the relevant
Division.
(Resident’s and Family Divisions)

Please register a death between the day of death and 7 days post-death
at the Resident’s Division. Bring your seal.
After acceptance of the obituary notice, you will be issued with the permit
for cremation. If the cremation is to take place in Komono Town, please
apply for this at the Environment Division.
Once the cremation is over, the cremation documents (sometimes just affixing
the seal to the permission of cremation document) are attached. Original
documents are necessary for burial, so please keep these safe.
Notifications of births and deaths, as well as marriages and divorces
etc must be put onthe family register.
For births and deaths, formalities can be undertaken at the hospital.
Marriages, divorces, adoption, dissolution of adoption, transfer of residence
etc should be enquired about at the Resident’s Division of the Komono Town
Hall.
For Marriage or Divorce, the persons involved will be required to bring
formal identification and their seal, and proed to the Resident’s Division.
Formal Identification will be necessary to carry out changes to the Family
Register.
(Resident’s, Health and Welfare and Environment Divisions)
● Marriage
Consent to marriage is required (age of consent is 18 for men and 16 for
women, or earlier with consent from the parents).
Seals from two witnesses are required.
Furthermore, for those people who are not permanent residents of Komono
Town, please attach an official copy of the Family Register.

For a Judicial Divorce, the certificate issued by the courthouse is required.
For divorce by consent, the notification will go to the husband and wife.
For Judicial Divorce, you will need mediation or a judgment complainant..
